University of London International Programmes Formative Assessments - Terms & Conditions

 

Registration and Payment

- The Formative Assessments are only available to currently registered students of the University of London International Programmes Undergraduate Laws Programmes.

- For each Laws subject within the Online Store - Elements of the Law of Contract and Land Law - only the first 500 registered students who register and pay for their Formative Assessment will be sent essay questions and will be permitted to submit their answers.

- Once 500 registrations and payments have been received for each subject, Formative Assessment registration will be closed and no new registrations will be accepted.

- Each student is only permitted to submit one Formative Assessment registration and payment per subject; each registration must be the student's own.

- Payment for Formative Assessments is online by card only.

- Payment by a cardholder other than the student him/herself is permitted; however, the student must obtain the cardholder's permission before Formative Assessment registration and payment is completed.

- No refunds can be made for any payment made in error.

- It is the student's responsibility to ensure that he/she selects the correct Formative Assessment for his/her subject.

- Neither the University of London International Programmes nor the University of London Online Store can accept responsibility for registrations and payments based on incorrectly chosen Formative Assessments.

- Essay questions will be made available on the University of London International Programmes Laws VLE on 11 December 2013, and answers to the essay questions must be submitted by 15 January 2014.

- If Formative Assessment payment has not been received by 15 January 2014, your work will not be sent for marking.

Feedback

- It is in students' best interests to ensure that they read the Formative Assessment Marking Criteria.

- The Undergraduate Laws Programme Office aims to make individual feedback available to students via the Laws VLE within 5 weeks of the essay submission deadline.

Essays

- Essay answers must not exceed 2,000 words. Examiners will not mark any content that exceeds this limit.

- Footnotes and quotations should not be used in essay answers.

- Students must confirm that they have followed University of London guidelines with regard to plagiarism.

- Each student must be save their essay answer using his/her 9-digit student reference number (SRN) as the filename.

- Students must not include their names in any part of their essay answer.

- Students must not make any assumption that questions on the same topics will appear in the May/June 2014 exam papers.

- By registering and paying for a Formative Assessment, students have confirmed that they have read and understood the above Terms and Conditions.
