CSR - Developing your English for Clinical Practice

This is a two-day course for trainees holding a London and South East training number and nurses in bands 5-8.

Fine-tune your English to become a more fluent and confident practitioner

Demonstrating compassion, empathy, cooperation or respect, relies not just on what we say, but how we say it. In addition to the words we choose to use, factors such as tone of voice, speed of speech,  directness – and even facial expression -can all affect the way our messages are interpreted.

CSR - Stress and Examinations

This module will be facilitated by an experienced CBT practitioner and provides techniques for dealing with anxiety and stress in the lead up to and during exams.

The session runs for 3 hours - 2pm-5pm.

This module is open to all Specialties.

This is a half-day session on a one-to-one basis (a session is two hours). You will be sent a time slot following your booking - you will be allocated either a morning slot or an afternoon slot, so please do ensure that you have your study/annual leave arranged before you book.

Sessions offer a concentrated individual review and addressing of learning needs; a pre-session conversation with an educator to discuss and review your specific learning needs; practise with tailored scenarios with specialist role players.

This multi-professional, fully funded workshop [9am-1pm] supports trainees in preparation for their higher exams. It is aimed at those who wish for additional support in approaching the examination process as well as trainees who have been unsuccessful in previous exam attempts. The course will address areas such as revision, planning and preparation strategies, exam techniques, adult dyslexia, and performance anxiety.
